Scientific background
Elina Nikolitsa was born in Greece. She graduated from the department of Music Studies of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. She continued with her postgraduate studies in Voice Acoustics at the University Paris VIII, in France. She received the scholarship from the Hellenic Embassy in Paris, the French and the Belgian Ministry of Education. As a Phd candidate of the University of Gent in Belgium, and as graduate from the National Conservatory of Paris (CNSMDP) in Musical Acoustics Of Instruments, she was teaching from 2003 to 2007 the course Music Technology and Acoustics at the technical university of Crete. She has been an associate of the research program (ΕΠΕAEΚ) studying the topic of “Acoustic analysis, perception and synthesis of soprano’s singing voice”. She was honored with the award of “Best new scientist presentation” for her research in the singing voice vocal cords and their movement during singing.
Artistic background
Elina has been trained in lyrical singing in Paris (Conservatoire Municipal de Paris, CNR d’Evreux, CNR de Rueil-Malmaison), in Phonetic Improvisation and Musical Theatre (CNSMDP). She has worked as a co-ordinator of phonetic groups in various institutes and has trained groups of musicians and actors in France and Greece. She has performed solo and with other musicians in France and Greece. For the past few years Elina has been performing music from around the world on numerous stages in Greece. She is currently in the process of creating new CD productions based on her personally developed concept “therapeutical concerts”.
Therapeutic background
In 2006 she created a method called “Singing Therapy” a methodology and technique she has presented frequently in seminars, speeches in Greece and abroad. In 2009 she created the centre for sound therapy Nahna Voice Center in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the German Institute “Klang-Massage-Therapy” by Peter Hess. Followed by a training in Florida (USA) in 2010 as a Consultant in Spiritual Guidance specializing in Energetic Therapies and Energetic.
